Hi. I’m Larkin. If I haven’t met you, let me introduce myself. I live in Downtown Greenville with the love of my life, and my precious pup, Topo (named after Topo Chico) — Born in Texas, I was raised in Columbia, SC where I lived until I ventured to the Upstate to attend Clemson University in 2014. After moving to Clemson, SC — I spent the academic year living in Clemson and the summers in Manhattan, before officially taking up residence in Greenville in 2018.
I am a lover of Jesus, quality time spent with friends, a walk through downtown, the berry skinny at the 05, an evening at home (preferably with dinner cooked on the Big Green Egg), planning a travel itinerary, a carefully curated ensemble, and of course — real estate.
Why Greenville?
In June 2018, I married my college sweetheart and we took up residence in Greenville, SC after he landed his post-grad job here. I would be lying if I said that I was thrilled. How could a town only 45 minutes from the small college town I had just lived in be something to write home about?! Well, boy was I wrong, and how grateful I am that I was!
Greenville has had my heart for a while now, and I simply couldn’t imagine living anywhere else (okay, well I’d be lying if I didn’t occasionally imagine my life in a 400 square foot Manhattan apartment). Greenville, our “big little city” is continuing to grow and change by the minute. It is a culinary hot spot, continuously making lists of top towns to live in, cities to visit, etc. and while all of that is spectacular, what really makes Greenville so wonderful is the people who live here.
I love being able to walk downtown, bumping into friends wherever I go, that the city thrives off of the creativity of it’s residents and is quick to showcase talent and invite others in. There really is no where like it.
Why Real Estate?
After moving to Greenville in 2018, after 4 years down the road at Clemson University, I took a remote job for a package design company based out of California. I quickly learned that life behind a desk, with little to no social interaction, was not for me. I loved people, and in order to be around people, I was going to need to find a job that didn’t require me to. I began working for local businesses managing their social media, and in doing so fell in love with Greenville, it’s businesses and the people who live here.
For me, I started in real estate because it seemed like a perfect blend of my passions — helping others, solving problems, being involved in the community and curating beautiful places and spaces. The longer I have been working in real estate, the more I have grown to love it — I love the ability to equip others and walk alongside them through one of the biggest and most emotional purchases of their lives. I also love getting to show others what makes Greenville so great. As a former skeptic, one of my greatest joys is getting to shout my praises for Greenville from the rooftops! My husband always laughs because it’s just one of many examples of how we make our plans, and the Lord starts laughing.
