A Downtown Greenville Saturday
I often get asked, how to spend a day in Greenville — whether by clients or friends visiting from out of town — while it’s impossible to capture all that Downtown Greenville has to offer in a day, if I had only one Saturday to spend visiting town, this is what I would do…
I’d start my morning by picking up a coffee or tea from Methodical Coffee Downtown — I love their Golden Hour tea! From there, if it’s a Saturday morning between May and October, I would take a moment to stroll through the TD’s Farmer’s Market on Main Street before hopping on the Swamp Rabbit Trail and walking towards Unity Park. To me, Main Street on a Saturday and Unity Park are excellent places for people watching and getting a glimpse of one of the things that makes Greenville so wonderful… it’s green space.
For lunch, I’d grab a bite inside The Commons at GB&D (right next to Unity Park) or head back downtown from a balcony seat at Jianna, where you must order the ricotta crostini to start! In the afternoon, I would spend my time popping in and out of artists studios and locally owned boutiques — before hopping back to change for an evening on on the town.
For dinner, I’d grab a table at CAMP, where you can order small plates to share (or to keep all for yourself) — the lively atmosphere is an exceptional place for an evening!
Whether you like to end your night with a cocktail or something sweet, within a short walk, Greenville’s got you covered. From CAMP, you can head next door to grab a scoop from Jeni’s in Camperdown, or you can walk just a few short blocks to Swordfish Cocktail Club for a carefully crafted cocktail. I highly recommend requesting a seat at the bar!
Can’t get enough of Greenville? I’d love to help make it your home! Call, text or email me anytime.
